When you want to build a house, you think about how you want it and commission a project from an engineer/architect, who prepares it and usually hires a master builder to operationalize the project, through a varied team of workers who will work using building materials - all this to build your idea, turning it into reality, right?
Think of your body as a big construction site:
- Your mind and spirit think what you want to do;
- Your brain then conceives how to turn your thoughts into reality and to do this it sends “orders” to all the cells and tissues in your body: these commands are your hormones, neurotransmitters and electromagnetic impulses.
- Their cells and tissues (permeated by their important extracellular matrix) carry out orders through their life habits, which provide them with raw materials, fuels and the transportation of these to the appropriate places.
If a crack opens in a wall, you don't just need building material to repair it: you need the material and someone to do it, with the proper knowledge of how to do the job, understand? If you just put the purchased building material (which makes up the wall) in contact with it, “mysteriously” it won't repair itself...
It's the same with our bodies: you need all these things to be well (all of them, for life) or else you get sick: mind, spirit, healthy lifestyle habits, hormones, neurotransmitters, good circulation, cells, tissues. It's as simple as that.
