Is cholesterol always bad for you?
Is it the main villain in cardiovascular disease?
Is LDL the “bad cholesterol”?
Is HDL the “good cholesterol”?
Don't fall for these scams!
If you read the content of the following links, you will easily realize the extent of the “scam” in which you and your healthcare professionals may be involved, often without knowing it:

And to clarify things once and for all, understand that there is no such thing as “good” or “bad” cholesterol. There is only one type of cholesterol. LDL is what it's called when it's being transported by the body to be used, and HDL is what it's called when it's being transported to the liver to be eliminated. Cholesterol becomes really problematic when it is in excess in the body, especially in the arteries, and when it is oxidized or combined with other substances in the blood (many of them harmful). In this case, it can deposit and clog blood vessels. In short, in the vast majority of cases, cholesterol is only harmful in great excess (well beyond the recommended values) and in people with bad lifestyle habits, which facilitate its oxidation. Any claim to the contrary could be a strategy to make you believe that you are ill and thus sell drugs, often for chronic use.
Remember: if your cholesterol levels are kept too low, especially due to medication or dietary errors, and with low HDL levels, your body loses the proper ability to produce various hormones, recover from injuries, manufacture vitamin D and bile acids. This can lead to health problems.
