Integrative Medicine - Practices Used

No two consultations and treatments are the same in Integrative Medicine. This is because the forms of diagnosis, therapy and follow-up are chosen according to each patient's needs, which are carefully obtained, grouped and analyzed individually. These include, in this service, in order of importance or frequency of use:

Healthy lifestyle habitsThey are the basis for the success of any health intervention and often neglecting them causes or worsens signs and symptoms. Therefore, their guidance and promotion are fundamental parts of the consultation.

Homeopathy: Homeopathic medicine treats by being able to produce effects similar to those experienced by the patient, and is known as the “cure by similarity”. This approach has been studied and used since ancient times and was revived by the German physician Samuel Hahnemann in the 18th century. Its active principle, or energy, is extracted from substances in nature, including the plant, mineral and animal kingdoms, and is diluted and dynamized. In this way, it becomes widely capable of stimulating vital energy towards rebalancing, restoring a state of health. Because it is highly specific to each person, the homeopathic remedy is obtained by means of a thorough investigation of the patient, including scrutinizing their way of life, habits, changes in intellect, imagination and dreams, ways of feeling and perceiving their own symptoms, their relationship with atmospheric phenomena and everything around them, as well as the possible experiences that triggered the illness process.

Nutrology and Functional NutritionIt involves the study of food and its application in diets and therapies, with the aim of using it as an ally in the treatment and prevention of diseases.

PhytotherapyIncludes products and medicines derived from plants, used in the treatment and prevention of diseases.

OrthomolecularPromotes the restoration of adequate levels of various substances naturally present in the body, such as vitamins and minerals. A lack or excess of these substances can lead to the onset or worsening of various diseases. In addition, it fights free radicals, which are significant in the ageing process, and effectively aids in recovery, rejuvenation and well-being processes.

Lysate therapyNatural food supplements obtained through the lysis (rupture) of organic tissues. This technique results in amino acids, carbohydrates, trace elements, vitamins, among others, with high absorption by the body and specific biological activity (organospecificity). It contributes to the adequate and specific nutrition of different body tissues, helping to restore their functional balance in disease states.

OligotherapyIt uses catalysts, substances that facilitate and regulate chemical reactions essential to the functioning of the body, emphasizing quality over quantity. This approach regulates body and mind, covering the patient's entire clinical picture. It improves the ability to adapt and recover, restoring and maintaining balance.

Traditional Chinese MedicineEffective and widely used in its country of origin and neighboring countries, it is based on the application of diagnostic and therapeutic knowledge characteristic of this medicine, including the use of the five elements and the Yin-Yang theory to understand the individual and their dysfunctions.

IridologyThis science makes it possible to profile an individual by observing the irises of the eyes (the colored part), revealing trends in physical, mental and emotional behavior throughout life. It therefore complements traditional diagnostic methods by offering additional support.

AllopathyOften referred to as “traditional” medicine, it is the most widespread and widely accepted form. It is based on the use of medications in specific doses and their relationship to their effects. Comparatively more “recent” than other methods used in Integrative Medicine, it aims to cure or relieve diseases by antagonizing their signs and symptoms, such as through anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, anti-allergic drugs, among others.
