A quick explanation of homeopathic medical science
What is the basic difference between a living human being and one who has just died? Spiritual and religious concepts aside, the answer is simple: the living possess something that makes their brain think, their heart beat, their lungs breathe, among other functions - a ‘life force’, called by Homeopathy as Vital Force, which is absent in those who have already died.
For Homeopathy, excluding accidents and fatalities, every illness is caused and maintained by disturbances in this Life Force, either by its weakening or by its erroneous distribution throughout the body, in excess in some places and in short supply in others. In other words, for a disease to be treated, with the aim of curing it, this Life Force needs to be rebalanced and distributed properly throughout the body and mind, in the right places and in the right quantity.
The homeopathic remedy helps the body to identify its own imbalances in this Life Force and helps it to learn more effective ways of using this force to its advantage, in a natural way. It should be noted, then, that homeopathic medicine does not directly combat microorganisms or diseases; rather, it stimulates the body itself to do so, making it more resistant and prepared in a non-aggressive way.
As each organism has its own unique Life Force, the same applies to the most suitable homeopathic remedy for each case, which is selected according to the symptoms presented. That's why, in homeopathy, people with similar symptoms can be prescribed completely different medicines. After all, if we are all different from each other, it is clear that we will also fall ill in different ways, deserving individualized and appropriate treatments.
There are basically two types of homeopathy: pluralistic and unicist, which differ only in the way they stimulate the Life Force. While in the pluralist modality the homeopathic doctor prescribes several homeopathic medicines with the aim of stimulating more specific areas of the body and mind, in the unicist modality only one medicine is prescribed, with the aim of strengthening the organism as a whole.
Finally, it's worth clarifying that Homeopathy is not “slow-acting” as many people think. The speed of the results varies from one organism to another and, above all, as with any medical treatment, it depends a lot on the patient adopting and maintaining healthy habits, because it is these that guarantee a good amount of Life Force for life.
