About myth 1 - Okay.

About myth 2 - Never wait until you're thirsty to drink water: drink it regularly, even if you're not thirsty! When you feel thirsty, you're already dehydrated. Or do you wait for your car to break down before taking it in for servicing?

About myth 3 - That's right: we need to drink more than 2 liters of water a day. Two liters is only good for those who live in a climate without temperature extremes, near sea level, consume 5 to 8 portions of fruit, vegetables and legumes a day and do no more than moderate physical activity. Do you fit this profile?

About myth 4 - Clear urine does not guarantee adequate hydration or nutrition, but it is a good general sign of hydration.

About myth 5 - Excessive hydration is a rare occurrence and usually doesn't happen with less than 6 liters a day for a 60 kg person with reasonable lifestyle habits.

About myth 6 - More recently, isotonic drinks have been condemned, some for the addition of chemical additives and others for their inadequate hydroelectrolytic and sugar composition.

About myth 7 - Coffee does dehydrate, especially for those who already drink little water a day, eat poorly, consume more than 300 ml a day or are hypersensitive to caffeine. Keep an eye on it!
