You have the latest Mercedes, new, expensive, an excellent car. You take good care of it, right? I bet you do:
- Servicing? Only at Mercedes itself, at least until the end of the warranty, and then only at the best reliable mechanic you can find.
- If you needed repairs or parts, you'd want the best ones available on the market and, if possible, factory originals from Mercedes itself, wouldn't you? After all, they fit and work better and are guaranteed!
Yes, but...
Your car breaks down because of an accident that wasn't your fault, for example, a pothole or someone hitting it in traffic, and now you need parts. Your good mechanic gives you the options:
- Or you buy the original Mercedes parts, which are a little more expensive than the “similar” ones.
- Or you buy “similar” parts from other suppliers, which are cheaper, but whose guarantee of fit and function is only the one they give you. So you “go for it” and often, under stress, the parts end up failing or not fitting and working properly.
This is also the case with your body: when it needs hormone replacement, it can only get good results with adequate doses of hormones that are “identical” to those it produces regularly, the so-called bioidentical hormones. This is because when the hormone is bioidentical, it fits perfectly into the receptor, because it has the same molecular structure as your natural hormone, and so the body doesn't interpret it as a foreign substance that must be fought or even neutralized by the liver, overloading it with constant use. In other words, the body's acceptance, metabolism and effects of bioidenticals are undeniably better!
Below is a post I made a few months ago, which helps you understand the subject better: As I always say, hormone modulation/repositioning is a “matter of common sense”:
1 - Why the name “modulation”? Because often correcting hormones means replacing them, but other times it's about reducing the amount of one or the other in the body, or even providing the conditions/substances for the body itself to produce or correct them. In other words: those who work well with hormones don't just aim to replace them, but often to stimulate the body to produce them correctly!
2 - Receivers: You may be flooded with hormones. If you don't have receptors where they can fit in and act, you may have inferior effects or no effects at all!
3 - Hormonal balance: Good levels of one hormone or another do not guarantee health for anyone, nor aesthetics or any good healthy results. Hormones interact with each other and with your body as a whole, and it is the balance of all of them that brings health and results. Anyone who only assesses and treats one or the other, when there are deficiencies in several others, may even harm the patient.
4 - If high hormone levels caused cancer, heart attacks, strokes and other serious illnesses, between the ages of 20 and 30 most of us would have them, since at this stage our hormones usually reach peak production and secretion. Once again, the key to safety is not the fear of modulating hormones, but of incorrectly conducted modulation.
5 - You're not just a “walking thyroid”! Do you agree? I often see patients in my office with countless complaints that “no one has solved”, and when I investigate, I discover that the patient, sometimes in decades of “health monitoring”, has only had their thyroid hormones properly assessed!
Have a good week!

Remember, as I always say, it's impossible to have proper hormone production and functioning without, first and foremost, good lifestyle habits. For more information, visit: https://icaro.med.br/hormonios/.
