Living longer is one of the biggest dreams of most of us and studies have shown that, yes, we humans are getting older and older and in the next 30 years the majority of the world's population will be elderly.
In the meantime, have we aged more healthily? The answer is: no.
The majority of people are therefore getting older with more chronic illnesses, being medicated with multiple drugs and yet with a lower quality of life, both in mind and body, a situation that is affecting men more, who generally live almost 10 years less than women!
What's been happening? Simple: people often only start worrying about “how they're going to age” when they're past 50 and/or when the first symptoms or even illnesses appear - prevention isn't a real priority for most people and, as a result, it's not always possible to reverse the accumulated damage and consequences when they start taking real care of themselves.
However, yes: there's always time to start taking good care of your health and improving how you live today and what the future of your body, mind and spirit will look like - your well-being and your ability to grow old.
*When it comes to ageing, what you “put off until tomorrow” may be missed today and you won't always have the time or conditions in the future to “make up for it”.
Always seek quality, up-to-date knowledge backed up by theory and practice: after all, the basis for any positive action is knowledge that is really useful and effective!
