Cuticles

Women: DO NOT remove the cuticle!

Post inspired by my “lack of understanding” of why women regularly hurt themselves to “look more beautiful”, but in the case of nails and cuticles, unnecessarily! And also from the good general information in this link: http://unhabonita.com.br/10-razoes-para-nao-tirar-cuticulas/

While researching and studying for this post, I came into contact with the female vocabulary of a particular world that a man like me certainly didn't know... So I'm trying to help here, but... If I say anything stupid... Sorry: I hope you get the message! lol

Understand: When you do your nails and injure the area by removing cuticles, pulling out “meat”, pulling out “steaks”, removing “skin”, making it bleed (etc.), you open the way for toxins and microorganisms (on the skin, in the nails, in the environment, in the nail polish) to enter the area, become inflamed/infected and damage the appearance, strength and growth of the nails themselves. And it can also give your whole body access, via the bloodstream, to all of this! In short: if your defense, repair and immune systems are not in optimal condition (basis for this: icaro.med.br/SAUDE), you can spread bacteria, fungi, viruses, toxic metals (and other unwanted “bugs” and “dirt”) to other tissues and organs, thus causing lesions, symptoms and diseases even far from the nails (liver, brain, heart, etc.).

And see what I've already explained in icaro.med.br/?s=INFLAMMATION“Cuticling” on a regular basis is a cause of chronic inflammation which can keep several other areas of the body (including the brain) inflamed, increasing pain and inflammatory symptoms throughout the body!

What do you “get”, woman, for NOT doing your cuticles?

1 - Stronger, healthier nails: nails help protect the body and removing cuticles can also damage the nail matrix at its base.

2 - The more you cut your cuticles, the more you traumatize the area and the more they tend to come back bigger and stronger! It's best to just moisturize the area well and lightly remove only the dead part that comes off naturally without any damage. Over time, the cuticle that hasn't been traumatized gets thinner and thinner, so it practically doesn't show when there's nail polish on it, without damaging its aesthetics, and the little hairs disappear along with it.

3 - The procedure of doing your nails is quicker: after all, you don't waste time hurting yourself doing your cuticles and the finish is better. The end result will last longer, too, because your body won't have to recover from the injury and thus push the nail polish off.

4 - Some spots and “streaks” simply disappear when you stop chronically traumatizing your nails.

5 - From what I've heard from patients (yes, most of mine take really good care of themselves, don't cut their cuticles anymore and share their Aesthetics With Health experiences), the best manicurists out there no longer damage their clients' cuticles, because they recognize the importance of most of what I've said above, both for Beauty and for Health.

6 - “Moisturizing” right is one of the techniques for softening already thick and chronically damaged cuticles without having to remove them: it usually works well and fulfills the aesthetic role without injury.

Don't compromise your health for “false aesthetics” #simple as that. After all, without good health you may not even have strong enough nails to show for it. And it's hard to beautify what isn't healthy and therefore ends up ugly in essence, ugly on the inside; for everything in terms of beauty, health is the basis (icaro.med.br/SAUDE).
