Vitamin D3, K2 and Magnesium - What is their fundamental relationship?
In short: the vitamin D you produce or ingest may not have the desired effect, or be less effective than it should be, or even have side effects, if you are deficient in magnesium and/or vitamin K2. To learn more about this, watch the video below:
🟢 Most people are deficient in vitamin D, which is essential for almost everything in the body, including proper mental functioning. Vitamin D improves general health and performance, and reduces the risk of sudden death, heart attacks, strokes, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, osteoporosis and more (more information on Lef.Org and on my website). 🟢 Vitamin K2 has several important functions, but in relation to vitamin D, the main one is to help the absorption of calcium by the bones, thus preventing it from accumulating in the blood and causing calcification in inappropriate places, such as soft tissues and the wall of arteries. Vitamin D optimizes the absorption of calcium in the blood, but in order for it to be directed to the right places, the action of vitamin K2 is necessary; otherwise, there may be inadequate deposition of calcium, even increasing the chances of ‘stones’ forming in the kidneys and gallbladder. 🟢 Most people are also deficient in magnesium, a mineral that is fundamental to hundreds of organic processes. These include stress management, blood pressure control, brain function, hormone production and balance, energy generation, promoting healthy longevity, calcium balance, good cardiovascular function and detoxification.
