Inflammation and Fat Weight Gain

Chronic inflammation tends to increase C-Reactive Protein (CRP, as it appears on tests) and this seems to bind to leptin, thus nullifying its appetite-suppressing and metabolic effects, which contributes to weight and fat gain.

Persistently high insulin levels (even at levels still considered “normal” by more “traditional” tests and health professionals) tend to increase your systemic inflammation. And chronically elevated insulin tends to be found in people who repeatedly abuse carbohydrates (which is why they feel more pain), for example.

In short, the more you inflame yourself for general reasons (bad lifestyle habits, infections, active food intolerances, etc.), the more you put on weight, leading to overweight and even obesity, conditions that conventional medication alone usually can't resolve.
