This video was recorded in a live stream on instagram.com/dricaroalves in April 2019, and in it I explained what Integrative Medicine is, what it isn't, what you can do, what you can't, myths and truths, among other aspects. - Obviously, this is my opinion on the subject, which is always well-founded, but the idea is for you to inform yourself and form your own opinion, your own concepts.
Why this topic? Simple:
1 - More and more health professionals are learning and applying notions of Integrative Health in their daily practices, in order to better serve their patients and obtain better results.
2 - Many people still don't know what it is and therefore fail to benefit from what integrative medicine can offer. Read more and understand the possible benefits in the links above.
3 - Integrative Medicine is NOT a medical specialty recognized by the CFM, but there are people spreading it around as if they were experts in it. However, it is quality knowledge, of recognized value and used internationally (outside Brazil, it is more widely accepted and taught).
3 - There are people who take advantage of the fact that the demand for integrative approaches to health is “in fashion” (and only increasing) and falsely advertise that they practice, just to get patients. You need to be careful with these professionals, both those who don't practice (but say they do) and those who don't know how to do it and, even worse, those who practice it wrongly...
4 - Integrative Health is not necessarily synonymous with Natural Health; and those who don't pay attention to this often end up being deceived or harmed.
5 - Functional Medicine is different from Integrative Medicine, which is different from Holistic Medicine, which is different from Natural Medicine and other approaches such as Quantum, Homeopathic, Herbal, Hormonal, Anti-aging, etc.
