“LUCK” or GOOD mental behavior?
“4 behavioral patterns related to the way we think and behave can determine how lucky we are,” says study.
1 - “The lucky ones tend to see opportunities and, when they see one, they grab it and move in that direction,” he says. The opposite happens with the unlucky ones. “They're so used to routine that when an opportunity arises, they're afraid to take it.”
2 - “Trust your instincts. If something goes right, they'll move in that direction. Unlucky people spend a lot of time thinking about what to do. They are overly analytical,” he says. “By the time they reach a conclusion, their opinion is out of date and no longer useful,” he adds.
3 - The lucky ones expect to be more successful in what they do. “They expect things to work out, and their beliefs become self-fulfilling prophecies. This means that they don't lose heart when faced with a difficult situation. As they are always on the up, they attract other people,” he says. “With unlucky people, it's the opposite. They're pessimistic. And people tend to avoid them because they're down all the time,” he adds.
4 - “They remain optimistic. Bad things happen to all of us, but the lucky ones are able to turn things around. They learn from these bad experiences and move on. The unlucky ones, on the other hand, let themselves be knocked down by the smallest negative thing. They convince themselves that the future will be bleak and that there's no point in trying.”
The expert advises keeping a “luck diary” to help improve your fortune. “Write down the most positive thing that happened to you today, no matter how trivial... you'll start to focus on the good things in life rather than the bad. After a week of doing this, the impact is significant,” he says.
