SUN: our HEALTH DEPENDS on it!
Understand:
1 - All life on Earth depends on the Sun: for example, for plants and phytoplankton (“microscopic, photosynthesizing, single-celled algae that inhabit aquatic ecosystems” and produce more than 95% of atmospheric oxygen) to live, photosynthesize and thus produce oxygen and energy reserves, sunlight is fundamental.
2 - Most people are deficient in vitamin D, a hormone with hundreds of functions in the body and whose deficiency has caused or aggravated many of today's symptoms and diseases (https://icaro.med.br/vitaminad/): as it comes little from the diet, humans need to produce it every day, but they can only do this if they are regularly and adequately exposed to sunlight (UVB rays).
3 - Regular exposure to sunlight is not only good for this; it also helps to: - Regulate the circadian rhythm: it helps the brain understand when it is day and when it is night, allowing for more energy and disposition during the day and better sleep at night - Dissolve blood clots and energize the blood - Produce hormones/neurotransmitters such as serotonin (which at night will be transformed into melatonin, a hormone fundamental to good sleep), alpha-MSH, endorphins and GABA - Improve blood circulation, better balancing blood pressure - Optimize skin health
4 - Ideally, for light skin, only 5 to 10 minutes of maximum skin exposure to the sun between 11am and 2pm every day without sunscreen (the darker the skin, the more time is needed). No more than this is necessary and too much can be harmful, ok? (Obviously, if you have a medical condition that correctly contraindicates this, follow your doctor's advice)
