“Guilty” = palm oil
Reason:
“Concerns have been raised about palm oil and its safety in food consumption. The European Food Standards Authority (EFSA) released a report in May last year declaring it more carcinogenic than any other oil, followed by similar claims by the WHO (World Health Organization). It seems that palm oil, which is present in many other products out there, when heated above 200 degrees Celsius, greatly increases its potential to cause cancer and intoxication of various organs. In other words, it seems that the greatest harm is associated with its heating and the environmental damage caused by its extraction on an industrial scale. But, of course, they conclude by saying that “more studies are needed to prove this” - so, until then, I suggest you study the subject, form your own opinion and take the measures you feel are appropriate.
