Every patient taking calcium supplements needs to watch this video and access these links (in my opinion): this knowledge should help avoid problems with all this calcium potentially going to the wrong places!

There is a lot more material on the link for you to study, reflect on and improve, but think about this (explained in more detail in the texts on the link):
Most bones are protein + water; calcium is one of the minerals needed for bone mineralization;
Giving too much calcium kind of “expels” the other minerals, which is undesirable and can lead to many problems due to their organic deficiency in various parts of the body;
Taking alendronate, risendronate and the like forces calcium into the bones, but not the other “ingredients” and this makes bones “dense” (on densitometry) but weak - and brings side effects over time;
Giving calcium without seriously optimizing lifestyle habits is asking for calcification of arteries and soft tissues, kidney/biliary stones, a drop in Mg and other various symptoms.

Have a good week!
Got it? Replenishing calcium may be necessary, yes. But optimizing bone function and having a really “good” densitometry (indicating health) is much more than chronically taking lots of calcium! Be well monitored.
