What the Health is the Netflix documentary about food that is causing great controversy on the internet, on social networks and in chats between professionals and laypeople in general. On the subject of food, I strongly recommend that you watch it: https://icaro.med.br/ALIMENTACAO/.
✔️ On the one hand there are the defenders of what the film preaches, usually vegans, generalizing that carbohydrates in general are not bad, that we eat too much protein, that protein and cholesterol are the great villains of humanity's health, especially processed meats, and that milk is bad for everyone, both physically and conceptually, etc.
✔️ On the other side are those who find the ideas propagated by the documentary absurd, arguing that they don't have an adequate scientific basis in most cases, that the evidence presented is biased and poorly founded, that all the interviewees are vegans (and therefore ‘biased’), that nutritionists were barely listened to, and that the Low Carb diet ‘saves’ lives, contrary to what is said in the documentary, etc.
It's worth noting that both the attackers and the defenders present their arguments and “evidence”, and so several videos and texts have already been produced to “criticize” the documentary... Watch, for example:
1 – Critical Analysis of the Documentary ”What The Health” - YouTube
2 – A Real Doctor Watches “What The Health” - YouTube [in English]
3 – ‘What The Health’ Debunked by Real Doctor - YouTube [in English]
Who is “right” anyway? What's “good” and what's “bad” about the documentary? Is it worth watching? Why? What opinions are worthy of your attention about the material?
In this video, as I've been asked by many people, I'll give you my medical opinion, always based on theory and practice!
