Pregnenolone

IMPORTANT: In my opinion, unduly and regrettably, On March 21, 2018, to the detriment of the population, ANVISA banned the import, manufacture, distribution, marketing and handling of Pregnenolone in Brazil, claiming that “there is no scientific evidence of its therapeutic efficacy”. It seems that the hundreds of existing studies with good practical results over the last 50 years were not enough to prevent this absurd measure.

Pregnenolone is a key hormone and the most abundant steroid in the brain.

It has several direct functions of its own, mainly related to the functioning of the brain, memory and muscles/joints, as well as several others. Secondarily, it is from it that the body synthesizes several other crucial hormones, such as DHEA, Progesterone, Testosterone, Cortisol, Aldosterone and Estradiol. In other words, when pregnenolone levels fall too low, hundreds of signs or symptoms can be caused or aggravated.
